Acupuncture – Allergies

Allergies are caused by many factors such as environment and genetics. Allergic reactions are most often the immune system’s response to a certain stimulus, where the reaction tends to range from mild to severe depending on the allergen. Common allergies that people experience are reactions to certain foods, grass, pollen, animals, or dust. The most common symptoms of allergies are Hay Fever which exhibits itchy eyes, sneezing, runny nose, headaches and fatigue. Oftentimes, seasonal allergies are the result of wind-borne allergens and an internal imbalance. Acupuncture for allergies act to protect against infections and rejuvenates tissues in the nasal passage to prevent further sinus congestion and runny noses. Acupuncture treats the root cause of the allergies rather than temporarily dampening the symptoms by bringing the body back to an ideal state of homeostasis in all bodily aspects through certain meridian points.
